am currently pissed off with how a korean drama ended itself. I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE LEAD ACTRESS ACTUALLY CHOSE THE YOUNGER BROTHER OVER THE ELDER ONE..AGGGUH!!
*^^* but..I only watched the ending..so i;m not sure how this happened, so I shall not burn up the disks..
met my mom's best friend a few days ago. it wasnt an ordeal-in fact, it was quite nice. she didnt flip or anything. she just said,"I'm sure you will grow taller soon..*big smile*"
her daughter, who is 15..spoke in a 'higher form of speech' to me..Now, I dont exactly know wat a 'higher form of speech' means in english, but I shall try to explain it out in korean terms. It basically means, showing respect by tailoring your words as you would say to a lao gong gong. What freaked me out was...she's only one year younger than me...that isn;t very senoir .She says that in Korea, you have to speak like that. *cultural shock* Here in Singapore, you just talk normally to ppl twice older than you...and in Korea, you have to treat them like adults even if they one year older than you...man.
I am glad that I am living in Singapore. Judging from what ppl in Korea have been telling me..Korea seems to be one shark..one that has sharp teeth and snaps every so often. If you dont want to die, you have to learn how to avoid them. One: Learn self-defence. So when they drag you to some ulu-place, you can just smack their faces. Or when they stuff your face into the toilet, you can actually fight back. Second: Have a sharp and witty tongue. So when they try to intimidate you with their stares and sneers, you canj put them back into their places nicely. HA!
Frankly speaking, if I had gone back to Korea, I would have died. Really. According to some ppl, I am the perfect target for teasing. Therefore, I am TRULY HAPPY that I am here in little Singapore. *^^*
