PLS COMMENT...*^^*

STRAWBERRY

" Hmm, nice shirt, " drawled the blonde as he stroked Greg's chest with one perfectly-manicured finger. He arranged his fruit turban and fussed with his dangling watermelon earring. With a flirtaeous wink, he bent in to whisper, " They call me Blossom. What are you called?"

Greg swallowed hard and moved back. " I have a girlfriend, " he blurted.

The blonde arched his finely-pencilled eyebrows and tossed his head in a kittenish manner. He smiled and plunged his pink lips towards Greg's. Greg could only gasp and push back blindly.

The blonde murmured, " Do you still have a girlfriend?"

Greg nodded hysterically, gaping like a fish out of water.

He slid back onto his stool and said simply, " That's too bad. By the way, you taste great. Strawberries, I think."

Greg pushed his way out of the bar. He had actually stepped into a gay bar. What would Eva say? He trembled to think of the consequences.

The next day, he accompanied Eva to the market. Staggering under the weight of the heavy basket, he struggled to catch up with her.

"Strawberries! Fresh and red strawberries for sale!"hollered a thin, magy-looking man. He cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled out, " Hurry! Get them while they are fresh!"

Greg stopped before him and stared. Memories of yesterday crept in. The shopkeeper continued, " Look at these red, luicious looking fruits! So ripe that they literally burst with their own juice! Look at them red things! They taste great! Come on, come on! Get them while they are here!"

With crimson cheeks, Greg tried to relinquish that one particular memory and hurried to catch up with Eva.

As he reached out to tap Eva on her shoulder, a pig of a man bumped into him, causing his basket to drop and spill its contents. Greg only blinked and stooped to pick up the items.

Eva whirled back and screamed, " Why didnt you say anything to him> Why did you just let that go? Have you no backbone?"

Greg looked up with pleading eyes and muttered, " It was an accident. Besides, he was a big man and..."

Eva interrupted him with a snort. She squatted down to help him pick up the fruits and vegetables and remarked, " If you werent my boyfriend, I would say that you are a gay! You are such a namby-pamby. I wish you would be more of a man."

A namby-pamby? She had said that a thousand, of not once, times to him. Secretly, he resented that but he never dared to show, for fear that Eva would make even more scathing comments.

She never hugged him, never pecked him on the cheek or did any of those little affectionate gestures done between a couple. They had kissed only once, last year, he remembered. That man had done it so naturally, he mused. Could that mean that he would be willing to give more? Perhaps, perhaps if he dressed like them.

The family of four in the car stared agog at him through the windscreen. He tried to walk nonchantely but he suppoused that the sight of a man in a evening gown was rather odd. Being svelte, he could easily fit into one of his mother's black gown.

When he entered, he saw Blossom at the same stool as the day before. Blossom looked up as he stumbled across in his heels. He patted back a yawn and said, " You are back again. Now, what were you called?"

Greg cleared his throat and replied, "Strawberry, Just call me Strawberry."
